Networking:

In the period from March 30, 2023 (travel date March 29, 2023) to April 6, 2023, at the invitation of Professor Michael Jacobson, members of the research team of the InoBioTeh project (Application of innovative biological preparations in sustainable plant production technologies, KK .01.1.1.07.0053), visited Penn State University, PA, USA, where they visited several institutes and laboratories dealing with soil analysis.

During their stay, they visited the laboratories for soil analysis and got acquainted with the methodology of processing a large number of samples, accompanied by the head of the laboratory John T. Sparga (Associate Research Professor & Director, Agricultural Analytical Services Lab). Employees of the laboratory demonstrated the methods by which they process a large number of samples for pH, KIK analysis and the methods of laboratory processing of samples for the purposes of measuring micro and macro elements. Also, the members of the InoBioTeh project team were presented with the method of preparing and storing soil samples, since it is a large number of soil samples that arrive from the economy, but also samples that are used for the purpose of scientific research.

Asst. Ph.D. Vladimir Zebec (researcher 8) visited the institute for pedology led by Patrick Drohan (Ph.D. Professor of Pedology & Graduate Program Chair), where he got acquainted with the method and methods of profile evaluation.
