Networking with a research institution HUN-REN Center for Agricultural Research – Budapest
On December 4th, 5tht and 8th, a networking event was held between individual members of the InoBioTeh project team (Application of innovative biological preparations in sustainable plant production technologies, KK.01.1.1.07.0053), with the foreign research institution HUN-REN Center for Agricultural Research (HUN -REN CAR), in Budapest.
Networking was arranged between prof. Zdenko Lončarić Ph.D, InoBioTeh project leader and prof. Márk Rékás,i Ph.D., from the HUN-REN CAR.
On the 4th and 5th prof. Zdenko Lončarić, Ph.D., participated in networking activities, which included: a brief introduction to the employees, a tour of the laboratory for the analysis of soil and substrates for plants, a comparison of analytical methods, considering the possibility of introducing new methods and discussing possibilities of future collaborations.
Asst. Jurica Jović, Ph.D., participated in networking on December 8th, since Prof. Orsolya Szécsy, Ph.D., since prof. Orsolya Szécsy, Ph.D., whose research work is closely related to the field of microbiology within agricultural production, was previously unavailable.
In conclusion, networking was realized in the areas of physical and agrochemical analyses, as well as the analysis of substrates and media for growing vegetables, but also in the areas of microbiological analyzes and the possibilities of preparing microbiological preparations for the needs of sustainable agricultural production, all with the aim of exchanging experiences and strengthening scientific research capacities of Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek and HUN-REN CAR Budapest.

FINAL CONFERENCE OF THE INOBIOTECH PROJECT
On December 14, 2023, at the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek (FAZOS), the Final Conference of the project „Application of Innovative Biological Preparations in Sustainable Plant Production Technologies“ KK.01.1.1.07.0053, was held, starting at 12:00 p.m.
This event was led by members of the FAZOS project team. Numerous participants contributed to the dissemination of research results and the spread of knowledge, including employees of Osatina Grupa d.o.o., employees of the Croatian Agency for Agriculture and Food – Center for Soil Osijek (HAPIH), employees of the Agricultural Institute in Osijek, students of FAZOS, students of the Technical School and Natural Science High School Ruđer Bošković from Osijek, as well as representatives of the economic sector, fellow agronomists, representatives of the media and other participants.
The dean of the faculty, Krunoslav Zmaić, welcomed the participants, after which the project activities were presented by the project leader Zdenko Lončarić, who also held the last lecture under the conference program, on the topic “The cost-effectiveness of using MB preparations and the impact on the quality of wheat and corn grains”.
Other lecturers were Ph.D. Vladimir Zebec with the topic “Degradation processes in the soils of the Republic of Croatia and soil evaluation for agricultural production”, prof. Ph.D. Suzana Kristek with the topic “Use of MB preparation on degraded soils” and associate professor Ph.D. Vladimir Ivezić and Assoc. Ph.D. Jurica Jović with the topic “Sustainable management of agricultural areas using MB preparation”.
At the end of the lectures, the participants were allowed to ask questions and a short discussion was held with the exchange of experiences. The conditions for the possibility of new future collaborations have also been created.
A poster section was also set up in the faculty area, near the location of the conference, so the participants had the opportunity to see the research results, which were presented at national and international symposia.
