APPLIED RESEARCH IMPLEMENTATION (INDUSTRIAL)

Applied research is focused on the development of new preparations. Innovative biological preparations will increase soil fertility and elasticity, reduce water contamination, the use of mineral fertilizers and pesticides, increase yields and improve the quality of agricultural products and food.

EMPLOYMENT OF 2 RESEARCHERS FOR THE NEEDS OF PROJECT RESEARCH ACTIVITIES IMPLEMENTATION

Two new employees have joined the project team, for a period of 33 months, who contribute to the implementation of project activities and the achievement of expected results.

DISSEMINATION OF RESEARCH RESULTS AND KNOWLEDGE

Members of the project team actively participate in national and international conferences, prepare and publish scientific papers. At the end of the project implementation, a final conference will be held where the results of the project will be presented to the scientific community, interested economic entities, representatives of civil society and the relevant media.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY VERIFICATION AND PROTECTION STUDY AND ACQUISITION OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS OVER PROJECT RESULTS

The intellectual property verification and protection study will prove the patentability of the project results. Since the project develops innovative products (a range of different microbiological preparations), it is necessary to protect said innovation by filing a patent application in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Croatia.

NETWORKING AND EDUCATION

Networking with foreign research institutions operating in the fields of microbiological analysis and production of preparations, physical and agrochemical analyzes of soil, and analysis of substrates and media for growing vegetables is planned. With the aim of increasing patent activity in Croatia, the workshop “Intellectual property” will be held, intended primarily for the education of the applicant’s employees and partners, but also for the wider business community.

Expected results of the project:

The project will result in multiple benefits. It primarily solves the problems of the agricultural sector (especially in organic production) and guarantees environmental protection and food safety. Ultimately, the project contributes to the commercialization of new products (the so-called range of microbiological preparations), which are potentially patentable, and thus contributes to the development of patent activity in the Republic of Croatia.
